Under the patronage of Dr. Hans H. Rhyner, Ranjit Puranik, Dr. Rajani Patankar and Dr. Sachin Sarpotdar a group of European Ayurveda practitioners made a first visit to "Ayurvidya Prasarak Mandal" to Sion in Mumbai, India in November 2014.

Ayurvidya Prasarak Mandal is a college, which was built in 1955. It is a college, an ambulance with an attached hospital. Patients in the hospital will be housed for a few rupees per day, fed and treated exclusively with Pancakarma. The hospital and the clinic are subsidized with donations. 50 students are taken each year and receive a sound education for BAMS and M.D. In addition, this campus has a botanical garden, where more than 500 Ayurvedic medicinal plants are planted.

During the period from 14 to 23 November 2014 the 9 students from Germany, Austria and Switzerland visited the College and received a comprehensive training in clinical Ayurveda and Panchakarma. Ayurveda doctors with their own practices or clinics in India presented the study group their extensive expertise in Panchakarma therapies, herbal medicine, yoga, nutrition and the natural handling of Ayurveda in its pure simplicity. Every day there were demonstrations on real life patients, in order to deepen the theory. So there was the possibility for all participants to see very exciting therapies in real including the leech therapy, the Therapeutic vomiting (Vamana) or the enemas as therapies for gynecological diseases for the first time.

Another highlight was a visit to the factory "DHUTPAPESHWAR Company".
